Hall previously served at WWBT-TV in Richmond, Virginia, where he anchored the highest-rated weekday morning newscast for five years, and was also a reporter for the station’s “On Your Side” consumer franchise. He played a crucial role in not only delivering the news but educating the community about the latest scams and frauds. In addition, he had the opportunity to be an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Prior to joining WWBT-TV, Hall was a reporter and fill-in anchor at WTVJ in Miami, Florida. During his tenure with WTVJ, he covered several major stories that included the Miami mortgage foreclosure crisis, and Fidel Castro’s resignation as Cuba’s president. Moreover, he spent four years at WCBD-TV in Charleston, South Carolina, where he was the weekend anchor/reporter. During his time in Charleston, he was awarded the Green Eyeshade Award for a feature story.
Hall started his broadcasting career as a production assistant for KTVT, the CBS affiliate in Dallas, Texas. His first on-air job happened shortly after at WABG in Greenville, Mississippi. He was a “one-man band” as well as the weekend anchor. Hall shot, edited, wrote, and produced his own stories and newscasts.
Hall is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and he earned his bachelor’s degree from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. During his time in college, he played tennis and was a member of the Melton Foundation; an organization that allowed him to act as a global citizen by addressing and tackling global challenges while traveling to India, China, and Chile. He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
