Since 2018, Black has fulfilled his career as a drag queen and has become one of the leading figures in the dark cabaret genre of drag. In addition, he mostly performs in Brighton (where he resides) and often performs at the annual Brighton Fringe festival.
Black has expressed that his passion for music is a key reason he continues to pursue his career. He often incorporates various instruments into his performances, including the piano, accordion, musical saw, and ukulele. Over the past decade, Black has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, Australia, and America. Notably, he completed a UK tour alongside Sasha Velour, a contestant from season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
He was announced as one of twelve contestants competing on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in December 2020. Black was the first contestant eliminated during a lip sync challenge against Bimini Bon-Boulash, performing to the song “Relax” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
Nonetheless, Black made a comeback in episode five when previously eliminated queens came back after a forced COVID-19 production break (except for Ginny Lemon). He beat his spot back in the competition after the contestants voted to bring him back. Unfortunately, Black was eliminated again after a lip sync challenge against Tia Kofi to the song “Don’t Leave Me This Way” by The Communards.

He is the first competitor to return after being eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Since his elimination, Black announced a UK tour titled “Decopunk,” which began in September 2021. He also released a limited edition gin of the same name with a 40% ABV. In February 2022, Black participated in “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK: The Official Tour,” performing alongside the entire cast of the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, in association with World of Wonder and promoter Voss Events.
